Our Equipment

Stokes Trucking is well known for the excellent equipment we operate.  Our power units are all Freightliner trucks.  We have excellent relations with our local dealer, Warner Truck Center.  Our trucks are loaded with features drivers want. Our drivers prefer and enjoy our new Freightliners.  We order high-horsepower, clean burning, and efficient, Detroit Diesel engines.  Our engines are serviced at our Freightliner dealer, Smith Power Products, Transport Diesel, and at Dusty’s in Tremonton, Utah. Every one of our trucks are Smartway certified vehicles.

Our trailer fleet is 100% air-ride equipped.  All of our trailers are the industry standard, 53 feet long by 102 inches wide.  Since we trade our trailers at five-year intervals, the average age of our trailers is less than three years.  We run 100% Utility brand trailers, the best in the industry, which we buy through Utility Trailer Sales of Utah, our local dealer.  We always order the best available running gear, brakes, and wheel ends, to ensure our equipment remains safely on the road, not in the shop.  Our refrigeration units are 100% Carrier-Transicold.  Our dealer, Carrier-Transicold of Utah in Salt Lake City is the best.  They were Carrier Transcold's dealer of the year in 2007. They also send their mobile service trucks to our yard to monitor the maintenance of our units and ensure we have the latest software updates.  Should any customer ever have a question concerning the temperature of their load, we can download unit data, and provide reports showing exact times the product was loaded and unloaded, as well as the exact temperature inside the trailer at all times.

We monitor all of our equipment with Qualcomm satellite communications.  Qualcomm set the standard all other trucking communications systems are measured against.  With the onboard MCT and displays, we dispatch our drivers, gather engine data, and can exchange messages with our drivers.
